First Few Days

Hi! Not much to report today, especially since I am once again exhausted and I have to be up at 5:30am in order to catch a bus at 6:50am for Traditions.

The past two days have been full of paperwork, meet & greet, and Walmart. Ah yes, and no lack of sunshine either! I went to Walmart both yesterday and today, and as you all know, no Walmart trip is short. Especially when you have to take a bus both ways, and the bus only comes every half hour! I also went swimming yesterday with one of my roommates, Amy. Oh, and a milestone! I cooked my first dinner tonight! (last night I had Subway from Walmart.) Toast, salad, and an orange. Yay me! But really, I don't know if it's the heat or what, but I haven't had enough appetite or energy to bother with cooking dinner. Our rooms are nice and cool and (over) air-conditioned, but the outdoor heat totally dazes me out.

Of course I miss everyone back home very much, but the good news is that I'm meeting lots of new people and lately I've been so busy that the time is flying by. I know it's only my third night here, but even so, I can't believe I've already had two full days here! I'm sure by July 30th I'll be wondering where the time went.

Ok, well now I've worn myself down to only 7 short hours of sleep, and I've got a formal dance coming up tomorrow. Oh didn't I tell you? There's a formal tomorrow night and apparently it's the only one happening while we're here, so everyone's going. I spent the afternoon at the Outlet mall with a group of girls buying dresses, jewellery, shoes, etc. It's from 8pm till midnight, and traditions starts at 8am (bus at 6:50) so I am def going to need a nap.

So anyway, the point is, I'm going to have to cut this short for tonight and hopefully fill you in more about how everything's going here at a later date.
